FAQ
Questions worth asking before you trust a diagnostic.
Including the uncomfortable ones.
Does this connect to my Shopify or Google account?
No. There is no OAuth, no app install and no store connection. We read public product pages the way a search crawler does, and you give us product data yourself.
Can it change anything in my store?
No. There is no write path anywhere in the product. This is a deliberate limit, not a missing feature.
Will this get my products approved on Merchant Center?
We cannot promise that and neither can anyone else. We show you specific, evidenced mismatches between your product data and your page. Whether Google approves a listing depends on Google's own policies and review.
Does it find every Merchant Center error?
No. This version supports five checks, each backed by Google's own documentation. Anything outside those five is reported as unsupported rather than silently ignored.
Why does it sometimes say a check could not be completed?
Because that is often the truthful answer. If your page does not publish a price, or the server refuses our request, or the number could be read two ways, we do not know whether there is a mismatch.
Reporting an unknown as a problem is how a tool sends you to fix something that was never broken.
My page shows a different price than my product record. Is that always wrong?
Not always — but it is worth looking at. A sale applied in the theme but not written to the product record is a common cause, and it is exactly the case a shopping feed disagrees with.
How is this different from what Google already tells me?
Merchant Center tells you an item has a problem. It does not tell you which field in Shopify produced it, and it does not watch for the same drift returning after you fix it. That gap is the whole product.
