A diagnostic product should show its evidence first.
Storefront Drift was built to find the source when the product data a Shopify store sends to Google drifts from structured product data published in the live page's initial HTML response.
What we do differently
Instead of comparing what one dashboard says with another dashboard, we compare the product record you provide with schema.org JSON-LD or product meta data in the live page's initial HTML response. Price, currency, availability, GTIN, brand and page consistency are shown with product-level evidence; the post-JavaScript screen is unverified in this version.
The rules are deterministic. When both sides can be read, we report same or different; when a safe comparison cannot be made, we report unknown instead of guessing.
All four modes stay within a read-only boundary. Quick Scan uses no account connection; when Connected Audit opens it will use only official OAuth and allowed read endpoints. No mode changes your store or promises approval, reinstatement or sales performance.
Three working principles
Evidence before inference
Each finding carries the source value, the page value and the reason for the comparison.
Unknown is an answer
When data is missing or context is ambiguous, we state the boundary instead of creating a false alarm.
The final decision stays with you
The report shows what drifted; only you approve and apply a change to your store.
